“I came to see Leslie after 3 other visits with a different lactation consultant. The difference in the care between her visit and the others was monumental. Leslie took the time to get to know both my son and I. She made us feel comfortable in her office. I never felt rushed or that I was not going to get all my questions answered. She is very knowledgeable; not only on breastfeeding, but also about the mom and baby’s body in regard to breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, oral ties, body tension, and much more. “I saw Leslie at 26 weeks pregnant for a prenatal lactation consultation. I was immediately blown away by how knowledgeable, friendly and calming Leslie was. She allowed me to ask all my questions and gave intensively thorough answers without overwhelming me. She spent almost 2 hours with me, more than any doctor I have seen through my pregnancy. I was especially curious about getting the right pump and flange. Leslie had the pump I was looking at in office and explained the pros and cons openly. Additionally, she fitted me for a flange that would be compatible. This was such a huge relief for me as I was worried about not being prepared when the baby came. I was even able to purchase two different flange sizes from her in office. She also had all the products in office I had been reading about and I was able to pick her professional opinion on them which was extremely helpful. After answering my questions she educated me about proper latching and baby positioning. She also suggested other health professionals that may be helpful during pregnancy and postpartum. When I got home I sang her praises for an hour to my husband. She was able to fit me into her schedule on super short notice and spent several hours with me talking through everything related to feeding. "Leslie was the fourth lactation consultant I saw after my preemie was born at 33 weeks. The others were supportive and encouraging while I exclusively pumped for 10 weeks, but Leslie helped me actually get my daughter nursing. She recommended an evaluation for tongue/lip ties which ultimately led to a corrective procedure with a great doctor. She also got me feeling a lot more relaxed about nursing and taught me about laid-back positioning.
